Roll Coater to Expand Coil
Coating Operations
Indianapolis,
IN. April 19, 2006 – Roll Coater, Inc., the premier, full
service coil coater in the United States and a member company of Willis Stein
and Partners of Chicago, Illinois, today announced plans to expand their coil
coating operations by constructing a new facility in Mississippi County,
northeast Arkansas. The plant, which
will contain more than 220,000 square feet of floor space, will house a state
of the art coil coating line and slitter.
The new location will allow Roll Coater, which is headquartered in
Indianapolis, IN, to fully serve customers in their target markets. Currently, engineering specifications are
being finalized. The new facility is
expected to be in operation mid-year 2007.
According to
Robert O’Neal, President and Chief Executive Officer of Roll Coater, the timing
of Roll Coater’s expansion into the southern United States is excellent. “Roll Coater has maintained a solid position
in the Midwest for many years, but competing in some southern locales has
sometimes been challenging due to Roll Coater’s previous lack of presence in
that area of the country,” added O’Neal.
“Proximity is the key to our future growth strategy... proximity to
steel, to cost-effective freight services like rail and barge, as well as
proximity to our customers. We are
establishing a coating facility that will enable Roll Coater to lead the
coating industry in terms of quality, service, and capability in the southern
United States. We’re very excited about
bringing these attributes to our existing customers in the area, and look
forward to servicing new customers as they develop.”

automated high-speed coil coating lines, allowing customers to eliminate
