Roll
Coater, Inc.
The following represents the terms and conditions under which Customer-owned metal is processed at Roll Coater, Inc. (hereafter referred to as RC). These Guidelines apply to all processing orders and supersede all previous agreements. The outside of the packaged coil will be visually inspected upon receipt. Visible non-conformances (i.e. torn paper, visible damage, etc.) will be noted on the carrier’s bill of lading and documented as part of the coil record. In order to retain maximum protection of the coil, it is our practice not to unpack material until the time of processing. For this reason, “hidden” damage (which cannot visually be detected at the time of receipt), non-conformances, and results of thickness and width checks, etc. will be reported at the time of processing. Should the Customer request that coils be unpackaged prior to the time of processing, a handling charge will apply. Although RC assumes responsibility for all Customer-owned metal located in one of its facilities, RC will not be liable for coils that are directed to be unpackaged prior to processing, which develop rust or similar deterioration. Should coils collapse within 30 days of receipt through no fault of RC, the Customer is responsible for rework charges to salvage the coil. Note: RC cannot guarantee the salvage of collapsed coils, nor subsequent suitability to meet the original application. The Customer maintains ownership of the metal processed under this agreement and will be responsible for all aspects of inventory coordination of inbound and outbound metal to and from RC facilities. To provide orderly receipt of inbound shipments, RC requires receiving appointments at all of its facilities. Normal lead-time for a single process is one to two weeks after receipt of purchase order, full order quantity of metal, and raw materials. Approximately three business days should be allotted for each subsequent process. Should RC receive and agree to coat metal within 3 business days of metal receipt, and is not responsible for the expedited demand, in addition to standard processing charges a schedule break charge may apply. Schedule breaks will only take place with prior written agreement from the Customer. Charges will be calculated on an hourly basis, with a minimum one-hour charge. When the Customer requires a physical inventory audit be performed at a RC site, RC will provide the necessary personnel to assist with coil location and reconciliation. Arrangements for on-site audits should be made through the Customer Service Representative or the Outside Sales Representative a minimum of five (5) business days prior to the desired date of the visit. For RC to operate at the line speeds for which the quoted prices are calculated, minimum coil lengths are needed. Coils processed at RC require a minimum input length of 5,000 lineal feet and a minimum output length of 3,000 lineal feet regardless of width. Coils should be of sufficient weight to yield coil weights within the minimum/maximum coil weights specified on the order. Non-compliant coils may result in rejects and/or additional charges. Coils that deviate from the input and output length requirements should be |
